With the rise of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) lawsuits, many companies are looking into accessibility checkers to fix their issues. Accessibility checkers can accurately check the code of your site for a variety of WCAG 2.0 AA and Section 508 guidelines.

However, the code is only half of the equation. The content of a website must also be checked, and this is where many accessibility checkers fall flat.

Currently, text on a website cannot be checked for accessibility without human review. Many accessibility checkers do not offer this as part of their package but it is necessary to achieve full web accessibility.

The best way to assess the full accessibility of a website is to combine automated and manual testing. Automated testing has revolutionized accessibility checking because it has significantly reduced the time spent checking the code of a site. What may take 8 hours for a person to do manually, automated accessibility checkers can do in 30 minutes. Combine that with manual testing for text errors, and you have a great accessibility checker.

The Adot team has created just that. We use state of the art automated accessibility checkers to verify every aspect of the code of your website to make sure it meets WCAG 2.0 AA and Section 508 guidelines. Our team then manually assesses the text on your website to catch the guidelines our automated accessibility checkers missed to make sure every benchmark is thoroughly addressed. The Adot team includes experienced accessibility directors that are passionate about web accessibility.

Digital accessibility can drastically impact the lives of disabled users for the better. Imagine going to a retail website and not being to read anything on the website. Adot Pro wants to make sure this never happens again, and we’re making sure that happens, one site at a time.
