Oasis Hotels, like most businesses, thought of their website as a great tool for bringing in new customers. For this reason, Managing Director Hector Sarmiento was extremely frustrated when he learned that his hotel was being sued because the 3^rd party booking site that they were using was not compliant with Title III of the American’s with Disabilities Act.

Oasis Hotels’ new website includes an accessibility statement (a disclaimer which protects companies from litigation while they are in the process of accessibility remediation.) The new website also features a phone number which provides booking assistance to impaired individuals using the site.
