Oasis Hotels

Located in the Heart of Fort Lauderdale, Oasis Hotels offers their guests a delightful experience. The Oasis Hotel is a family owned business who “love to offer the best accommodations and amenities in Florida.” Oasis Hotel in Fort Lauderdale provides what they describe as, “a unique environment where guests will find a mixture of historic architecture, modern room interior, and amenities to satisfy all their hospitality needs.”

Oasis Hotels, like most businesses, thought of their website as a great tool for bringing in new customers. For this reason, Managing Director Hector Sarmiento was extremely frustrated when he learned that his hotel was being sued because the 3rd party booking site that they were using was not compliant with Title III of the American’s with Disabilities Act.

Hector Sarmiento says “This whole thing has been very frustrating… The lawsuit that we received because of our website completely caught me off guard… Knowing about the issues with our website and fixing them would have saved me lots of time and upwards of $10,000 in settlement and lawyers’ fees.”

Oasis Hotels needed a solution: they needed protection against further litigation. Adot Pro’s Accessibility Design Team was chosen by Oasis Hotels to provide this solution because they are the industry’s leading experts on web accessibility. Adot Pro, unlike other web accessibility firms, goes past simple consultation by providing a stand-up, accessible website which will immediately protect businesses from litigation.

The Adot Pro Accessibility Team provided Oasis Hotels with a brand-new, ADA accessibility compliant website, a site which contains all the same information as their old site but formats this content in a way that is usable by customers with disabilities. Oasis Hotels’ new website includes an accessibility statement (a disclaimer which protects companies from litigation while they are in the process of accessibility remediation.) The new website also features a phone number which provides booking assistance to impaired individuals using the site.

It would have been great in my case if I had spoken to DigiPro before I got sued to give me insight and education about this whole thing.”

Fortunately for Hector, and Oasis Hotels, there has been no further litigations against their business because of web accessibility since implementing Adot Pro’s revolutionary software.
